Born in Korea, Joong-Ho Choi myself is one of the most actively working designer in Korea,
with various exhibition and projects, whose major is product design.
I do designs about a lot of mobile-related electronic devices and living designs such as furniture, lamps and so on.
I have a strong passion about ‘concept project’ because I want to change the world with small changes.
I am directing one design group, Idealgraphy, to plan and participate various projects with team members.
I started to work as designer because I want to be experimental and positive designer who pursue free and
open career path with more active self-promotion because many people in Korea even including designers think
that being a designer means that they have a bright future with nice university.
I realized that it’s easy to be happy if I only pursue to be a designer who is only looking for the realization.
I myself try to regard design as understanding the origins of products around us and the process from the beginning
of rethinking products in a interesting and comfortable way to the end.
I also try to find out the way to quickly and positively communicate with people who accept my designs
I also try to find out the connection between Korean traditional designs and modern designs by chasing
the identity of Korean designs, to avoid highbrow archiving, and to accumulate the basic knowledge of design research.
